Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher.
Her Hatha yoga journey started in 1996 and is now certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. Impressed by the therapeutic healing properties of Iyengar yoga, she quit her day job as an architect to pursue her passion. Nikita aims to be a lifelong student in the yoga journey and through the knowledge, bring awareness in the mind and body for optimal health and fitness.
Growing up in India, Yoga has always been a part of her life. Her regular practice has given her strength and control of her own body. Yoga has tremendously helped her heal her own wrist and shoulder injury which she sustained in tennis. Nikita goes home to India regularly and whilst there, she takes classes with senior Iyengar teachers and attends workshops conducted by Geeta Iyengar.
She strives to understand the various physical health requirements for the general upkeep so as to customise the yoga asanas for individual and collective benefits. Yoga has tremendously helped her heal her own wrist and shoulder injury.She is an encouraging leader, and an intuitive and articulate yoga teacher.
